Thank you social networking sites, I have a social life..

YOU rouse up in the morning still yawning…The next thing you do (the first being checking your messages) is log on to Social Media Accounts like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and update your status about a nightmare or a dream you saw. (You did manage to leave facebooking or tweeting for a few hours of sleep or may be scheduling your accounts from any third party software like Hootsuite).

After doing your daily chores and you again update your social media accounts about your plans of the day. You also get the instant updates regarding your friend’s status. Sometime now it is through Social Media Accounts only that you come to know about your friend’s activities.

Peoples now days got a habit to check and update during office hours also. It has already become a headache for your boss to motivate you not to open your social media accounts during office work.

At the end of the day you might be really tired and all you want to do is take a nap but then you have to do something even more important. Yes, you are right..lolz. Again get back to social networking website. After all we live in a society and it is all about networking be it a business networking or social networking. We spend time thinking about exclusive status and wonder ‘how many people on my list are going to like it and how many are going to share their thoughts’.

Or sometimes we create a fan page of our hobbies like photography or some time of the collage we are studying. And want very friend or colleagues to join it and participate in discussions initiated by you.

The paradox lies in the fact that out of all the people in your friend list you will never strike a conversation with them on a personal level and you have no clue about their life.

Today, the entire world is an active member of the social networking websites be it a 14 year old school going kid or 45 year old CEO of the company.

Social networking has become an integral part of our lives and all the arguments about living in a virtual world have no effects on the users. After all it is the ‘social networking’ fever and there is no scope that the temperature will come down soon.
